Wanted to let you know I took solaris 9 part 1 test last weds and scored an 85!!!. Out of 57 questions I got 49 right. The 8 I missed were mixed through out so I can't be
sure which ones but what was so amazing is at least half of the questions were on your sample questions word for word.
I have started on part 2 studying today and hope to take it on or around the middle of April.
Your book and questions were a BIG help.

I got 91% for 310-014 and 86% for 310-015. I've got quite a bit of
Solaris experience; apart from this, I found your Solaris 9 Training Guide the best material available for preparing to pass the exams and for increasing understanding of Solaris (I was able to take a look at a couple of other

I took the Solaris 8 SysAdmin Part 2 test this morning in Denver, and passed with a score of 85. I felt well prepared in all of the objectives. In some ways this test seemed easier for me
than Part 1, but then again I studied much harder for Part 2 because I was afraid it was going to be really tough.
Just want to say thanks for all of your help. My goal was to finish both tests by end of January and I made
it, so I am very pleased. I would eventually like to upgrade to a Solaris 9 Cert, and also get the Sun Network Admin Cert, but that will have to wait awhile, as I am starting a new NetAdmin job next week for a Banking
Corporation in here in Colorado. We will be rolling out Cisco IP Phones system wide and upgrading our network core with new Cisco Routers and Switches. This will require all of my focus for awhile.
One last question: will
SUNW be sending me anything regarding the certification ? Cisco sends out a confimation letter, a certificate, and logos in tiff/giff format for use on my resume or business cards.

May be my desperation for your exam gear paid off. I just returned from taking part II and pleased to announce that I had 88%. You won't believe I had 20% in Name Services but had 100% in

test and it was an 84. I think that I could have accomplished this by just reading your book since it is so well organized and detailed but I definitely got a much better experience from taking the course. Well, lets hope part

Thanks for your Solaris 8 System Administrator Certification Training Guide. I passed part one in March and Part two today using your Solaris 8 book as the main part of my studies. I really liked your
Book. It was both easy to understand and detailed enough to cover the required subject matter. I don't think I've ever used a computer book with such detailed and accurate examples of how do different
tasks. Usually a computer training guide gives you a only brief writeup of how to do a task and then leaves you to figure out why the task doesn't work for you on your computer. The examples in your book generally
worked the first time with very little tweaking and often you even explained why something may not work and how to workaround the problem to ensure that it does. It was great for a Solaris Beginner like me and I will
recommend you book to all who ask. Now I just hope New Riders training guide for Solaris Certified Network Administrator is as good as your book...Thanks again,

covered each subject with extreme detail in plain english, and went way beyond just the basics, making it not only a good study guide for the exams, but a useful desktop reference for anyone maintaining a Solaris-based
UNIX system. The book is written in a style that makes it friendly to newcomers and veterans alike. Again, the materials were right in line with the exams, and highlighted potential pitfalls to be aware
